Learning From the Past, Providing Hope For The Future

What if Eleanor Roosevelt and Abigail Adams could sit down some afternoon, tell you firsthand about their girlhoods, talk about everything from politics and fashion to romance, and maybe even surprise you with a few things your history teachers left out? Or Sojourner Truth, Josephine Baker and Bessie Coleman stopped by and reminisced about with their amazing life stories, their undying courage, their sense of self and adventure, and their ability to persevere, pray, and sometimes even laugh in the face of impossible odds? Or Amelia Earhart, Hedda Hopper, Mae West and Calamity Jane all showed up to give you the inside scoop about what it means to be a woman with a mind of her own, daring to make a difference... no matter the risk, public opinion, or personal cost? Who We Are

Women In History is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the education of all people through the dramatic re-creation of lives of notable women in history. With a passion for history and the women who are responsible for at least half of it, Women in History gives voice to some of the most stirring and inspiring stories that have gone untold for far too long. Through careful research and thorough study, the group has recreated riveting and entertaining life stories of some of America's most remarkable ladies.

Each account is presented in a costume that reflects the time period, in a first person, and in a most engaging way, that allows those in attendance to interact with her and find out who she really was and what daily life was like during her lifetime. We customize to the specific needs of your audience and yes, we will travel!

What We Do

Standard Performances

Hollywood’s Golden Age

So much gossip! So little time! Women in History brings you the renown Gossip Mavens, Hedda Hopper and Louella Parsons, as they take you on a journey through the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Legendary Ladies

Legendary Ladies brings together Opera Singer Marian Anderson, the Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin and Jazz Singer Billie Holiday in a whirlwind one-woman show by Debra Rose. Be inspired by women who experienced crude beginnings, overcame obstacles, and influenced so many singers of today.
